Dear [Name]

Multi-Source Assessment of Expert Practice (MAEP)

As part of my professional development, I am taking part in a system for assessing the quality of the work of expert witnesses, which is managed by the Royal College of Psychiatrists. However, the assessment provided is suitable for use by all professionals working as expert witnesses. MAEP gathers feedback from a range of people who are involved in my work, including instructing solicitors, barristers, and judges.

I have chosen to invite you to assess me as part of this process, in relation to [enter case identifier if required]

Your participation is voluntary. If you are willing to help me with this, please reply to this email and I will enter your email address on to my MAEP assessment survey page. You will then receive an email containing a link to a short questionnaire. If you wish to provide feedback for me but feel you are unable to answer one or more of the questions, there is the option to select 'Unable to assess' within the questionnaire.

Your responses will be confidential. You will not be asked to enter your name in the questionnaire. I will receive a summary of the grouped responses of my colleagues and I will not see the questionnaire that you have completed. I will not know who has responded or be able to attribute any response to an individual.

Your information will be stored and used by the College for the purpose of this MAEP assessment only. For further details on how the College uses data, please visit their website: Multi-source assessment systems privacy notice

Kind regards
